This is used to create a psychological portrait of the encountered character. Sherlock Holmes purists might not approve entirely of the fact that The Devils Daughter isnt afraid to deviate from Conan Doyles oeuvre though. The players can now inspect any character they meet in-game and analyze their look. There is a mini-game which resembles Holmes' deductive method, which helps the players make an assumption. The problem lies in the actual gameplay elements. The overall story, focusing on family secrets and Sherlocks adoptive daughter, has a deep plot and seamlessly threads together seemingly unconnected events in a way that would do Doyle proud. The game takes the players at the crime scenes, where one examines it, finds clues while using several helping items, such as a magnifying glass, talks to witnesses and suspects, interrogates other characters and interacts with items. Sherlock Holmes: The Devils Daughter has that in spades. The game's gameplay is mostly the same as the same as the previous game, Crimes & Punishments. Some of these cases continue the story of the previous games. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter might be of high quality, but I found them to be lacking a hint option to make it more enjoyable. The series has sold '3 or 4 million copies', mostly on PC, as of 2012. Sherlock Holmes: The Devils Daughter: 62.80: 65: The games are a commercial success. There are five different, yet interconnected, criminal cases are available for the players to investigate and solve. GameSpots review of the game found it 'not all that appropriate as a sequel to the other adventures that Sherlock and Watson have been starring in during the past few years'. The game follows Sherlock Holmes and his companion, Doctor Watson, and their daily lives solving the mysterious crimes. These cases are detective stories, that are linked with each other and continue the stories of the previous Sherlock Holmes games. Overall it is an enjoyable time, still wielding its excellent deduction system that taps into the common love for solving murder mysteries. ![]() ![]() The story is solid, if a little unusual for a Sherlock Holmes tale, and the collection of mechanics and mini-games that could easily feel thrown together actually work well together, leaving you guessing about what comes next. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter is a very good adventure game which tries to break up the monotony with mini-games and action sequences. You will see the game’s engine performing its best to depict a story of a father, Sherlock, who is on the quest to find and save his daughter. Summary: Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, the eighth game in the series, is an incredible adventure game with unique gameplay blending investigation, action and exploration for an extraordinary experience that will test the limits of players' nerves and intelligence. It is the direct continuation of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments - another game made by the same studio and is the eighth part of a series. Id love to be able to give Sherlock Holmes: The Devils Daughter a stronger review, but it simply isnt possible. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter The trailer is a mix of the gameplay and story showcase. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter is a detective game created by Frogwares.
